Abstract

In this paper, a SIR Model is established for Monkey Pox disease.SIR is an acronym which stands for Susceptible, Infectious andRecovered groups in a given population. An equivalentdeterministic model which is an auxiliary tool is transformed intoa stochastic model. The stochastic model is studied by numericalsimulation which is used to analyse the control of transmission ofthe disease. Numerical simulation of the model shows that anincrease in vaccination leads to low disease prevalent in apopulation. Raising awareness of risk factors and educating people about the measure they can take to reduce exposure to the virus isthe main prevention strategy for Monkey Pox.
